Ferguson - Foglio VFW Post 6650
The Post was organized in 1946 by a group of returning Second World War veterans from the Ocean City area. Upon receiving it's Post Charter that year from the VFW National Headquarters, the Ferguson-Foglio Post began what has been a long tenure as the hub of veteran gatherings and community activities in Ocean City. As a result of a continual increase in membership, the post expanded in 1958, This doubled the building size, which can be seen in the photo above in 2011. The post has a meeting room, canteen and kitchen and offers members a number of amenities, including five expanded-cable HDTV screens, a 22' professional-grade shuffleboard, professional-grade billiards and dart board... all in a comfortable, relaxed setting.
Our current membership includes, but is not limited to, veterans of WWII, Korea, Cuban Missile Crisis, qualifying action during the Cold War, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Somalia, Kosovo and the campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Please continue to explore our website. It is a work in progress, so check back often. And thank you for your interest !
Monthly membership meetings are usually on the second Monday of each month at 4:00pm. Meeting dates may change and meetings may be suspended during certain months, so it is advised that you contact a Post Officer in advance to verify meeting dates. The Post will usually send a reminder, via email, as to what date the meeting will be held. It is the responsibility of each member to advise the Commander of any email address changes.
